Santa's not the only one making the rounds on Christmas Eve.

Last week, we provided a strategic preview for the upcoming console version of Halo: Spartan Assault, Microsoft’s thrilling top-down shooter that provides a new perspective on the long-running series. Today, we’ve been graced with a release date for the game – on Xbox One, at least.

Halo: Spartan Assault will make its debut on December 24th on Xbox One, for the affordable price of $14.99. The game will feature an all-new cooperative mode, along with the Operation Hydra expansion originally offered to mobile users.

Those who purchased the game previously on mobile platforms will also be able to snag the game for a cheaper price, down to $4.99.

As for the Xbox 360 version, it’s still coming, but it won’t release until sometime in January.

It’s going to be a good Christmas for Halo fans!
