How to Get Wool Fiber in Pax Dei

They drop from sheep, right?

Pax Dei has a wide variety of resources, and you can even categorize certain items into different paths. For example, any type of metal will go into metallurgy, or any type of fiber will go into tailoring. For players who want to get the cloth set and any tailoring-related materials, you’ll need to farm a ton of Wool Fiber. Here’s a quick guide on where you can get Wool Fibers in Pax Dei.

Where to Get Wool Fiber in Pax Dei

Wool Fiber drops from the most unlikely animal, boars. In most situations when you find a boar, they usually go in groups of two or three. They spawn in grassy and mountainous areas, so you’ll see them frequently if you roam the map a lot. Each boar drops around 18 Wool Fibers on average, and since you encounter them in groups, you’ll get close to 40 each time you find them.

They are a bit dangerous, especially if you don’t have any armor or weapons crafted yet. A Pointy Spear can do the trick, but you have to lure one out of the group to make it easier. However, if you already have Iron Ores unlocked, you can upgrade to better tools and use them to farm boars more efficiently.

Boars also drop a few Small Rough Animal Hides, Sinews, and Boar Carcasses, which are useful for Leatherworking, crafting a bow (Fletching), and cooking, respectively.

If you are a bit undergeared, I would suggest avoiding the middle of the map or forest areas as wolves and bears also frequent those areas. They are way harder than fighting boars, so you might waste some time running away from them when you are only looking for boars for Wool Fiber.

What Are Wool Fibers Used For?

Wool Fibers unlock the following crafts from the Spinning Wheel tool:

  • Coarse Wool Yarn
  • Rough Wool Yarn

Once you have the Coarse Wool Yarn, you’ll turn it into Coarse Wool Cloth using the Loom. This Coarse Wool Cloth crafts decent armor and other useful materials. Since these Wool Fibers get used in bulk because you turn them into yarn and into cloth, you’ll need hundreds of them.

The best way to get a decent amount of Wool Fibers is to actually focus on farming other resources and hunt all the boars in your path.
