This morning’s Nintendo Direct aired like clockwork, and introduced a number of new games and additions to current hits that fans will certainly appreciate.
First up, Nintendo Pocket Football Cup should entertain European 3DS owners with its release, featuring a number of simulation options that allow them to compete head to head against other players. There’s no word yet on release date, and no announcement whether it will release outside of European territories.
Professor Layton will make his return to the 3DS with Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, which is currently slated for a February 28th release. The game will feature all new puzzles to solve, as well as more beautiful animation to soak in – just like the previous games.
YouTube will also be coming to the 3DS later this month, allowing users to watch whatever videos they see fit from the popular video service.
Bravely Default, a highly acclaimed role-playing adventure from Square Enix, will finally make its debut in the U.S. on February 7th. Along with the regular and downloadable editions, a special Collector’s Edition will also be available, including 34 Augmented Reality cards, an art book and a soundtrack.
Finally, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds offers full StreetPass compatibility, allowing users to fight one another using Shadow Link characters. If your character can defeat enemies, he’ll earn Rupees to spend in-game as a result. So definitely keep that StreetPass turned on…
