Accessibility options were a key sticking point in the original Hades, and the God Mode option has made its return in the sequel. While the mode still remains the same, here is how to enable God Mode in Hades 2.
How to Activate God Mode in Hades 2
Hades 2 players can enable God Mode under the Gameplay tab in the Options menu. It is the first option in the menu and is a simple toggle.
The God Mode can be activated at any time during the game. It does not need to be done at the main menu, and the save file you enable the feature in will note that it is in God Mode. It can also be toggled on and off without messing up anything with your save or gameplay progress.
What Does God Mode Affect in Hades 2?
The God Mode difficulty toggle only affects one thing in your Hades 2 save file: damage resistance. Just like in the first Hades, the God Mode will gradually increase your defense.
Simply turning God Mode on will increase your damage resistance by 20%, and dying in the runs will increase the stat by two percent with each failed run. The damage resistance cap in the first Hades was 80% and should be the same in the sequel.
Despite the name, players will not become instantly invincible. You will be gradually tougher to get further in each subsequent run, as dying is still part of the game and necessary to see the story through. While there are no achievements in the early access version of Hades 2, enabling God Mode should not affect any achievement progress as it was in the first game.
