How to Get More DCP in Dragon’s Dogma 2

A confusing resource at first, even for me.

Among the different resources you can gather while progressing in Dragon’s Dogma 2, DCP is a vital resource that will help you a lot in your journey. Here’s how to get more DCP in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

You can get more DCP in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by slaying enemies and completing quests. While the DCP gained is rather low from each enemy you kill, though in groups can be a welcome amount. Quests give much more at once but take much longer than simply killing enemies. Sadly, there’s no way to boost this gain temporarily or acquire a mass amount of DCP quickly.

Given that, your best bet will be to complete quests where you have to kill a group of enemies or traverse along a path where fights are plentiful. That way, you’ll get a ton of DCP on the way to completing a quest, followed by a nice helping once you’ve finally completed said quest. Some of the earlier quests (excluding the main quest) don’t have this happen much, but you’ll get plenty more later on.

What is DCP Used For?

DCP in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is used towards acquiring and upgrading your skills for your Vocation. At certain locations (and marked on your map) are Vocation Guilds which you can speak to if you want to invest in your chosen vocation. For example, I spoke to an early Vocation Guild and spent some DCP to purchase a new attack, which sets my twin daggers aflame and lets me apply burning to my foes. It’s quite useful for dealing damage over time. You’ll find a lot of abilities like this one when checking out the Vocation Guild’s offerings.
