Aside from fast travel, there is no mechanic more tedious than carrying weight in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you’ve been stuck in the “very heavy weight” at the start of your adventure, I can help you increase your capacity for lugging loot around the map.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Increase Carry Weight
Carry Weight can be increased by consuming Golden Trove Beetles, equipping Rings of Accrual, and leveling up your character. By default, the amount of weight you can carry is fairly low, but there are plenty of small increases that you earn throughout Dragon’s Dogma 2 to help out. Golden Trove Beetles are the best in this regard because they reward exploration and are scattered throughout the entire map. Each one gives you a 0.15 kg increase to your overall carry weight.
How to Increase Your Carry Weight in Dragon’s Dogma 2:
- Equip Rings of Accrual.
- Consume Golden Trove Beetles.
- Earn passive increases by leveling up.
- Choose a Vocation like Fighter.
Rings of Accrual are another great way to increase your carry weight, and just like the Golden Trove Beetles, they can be given to your Pawn as well. These rings simply increase how many kgs you can lug around at once and at a higher rate than you would find from eating individual beetles. However, the boost isn’t permanent and it also takes one of your two ring slots. Compared to the other rings you can earn in Dragon’s Dogma 2, it’s not always worth it.
Some Vocations will also allow you to increase your carry weight with passive Augments, such as the Fighter. Mix the Vocation with the small stat increases you get with each new level and you’re looking at a decent increase to all your inventory space within Dragon’s Dogma 2. And don’t forget to make use of your Pawns as well. They serve as pack mules when there are just many items for you to hoard on your own.
Get started on your search for Golden Trove Beetles if you don’t want to get stuck in the mud.
