Ace Combat Infinity Officially goes Free-to-Play

Explore the unfriendly skies on PlayStation 3 this fall.

Earlier this month, Namco Bandai hinted at a new entry in its Ace Combat series, Infinity, with the release of a new trailer. Today, the company released yet another trailer – which you can view below – and confirmed that the title is free-to-play on PlayStation 3.

In Ace Combat: Infinity, you’ll engage in a new storyline, one that takes place in the real world rather than a fictional city like in previous games. The gameplay will be similar to 2011’s Assault Horizon, with high-octane dogfights and thrill-a-minute pursuits. Multiplayer will also play a huge part, with four-on-four competitive play, along with a cooperative squad mode for you and your fellow co-pilots.

This free-to-play game is the latest in Namco Bandai’s business model, following the release of Tekken Revolution earlier this summer and Ridge Racer Driftopia set to arrive later this year.

Look for Ace Combat: Infinity this Fall.
