The sheer number of collectibles in Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be rather intimidating, but some are more valuable than others — and I’m not talking about just their price. Here’s how to use Golden Trove Beetles in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
What to Do With Golden Trove Beetles in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Golden Trove Beetles will allow the player to carry an additional 0.15kg of weight for each one that is eaten in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Yes, you’ll need to eat a Golden Trove Beetle to get more carrying weight, but the trade-off is worth it. Plus, bugs are a great source of protein, so that’s always something.
Golden Trove Beetles are a rare commodity to encounter while exploring, but they’re worth seeking out. Keep your eyes peeled on your surroundings as you continue traveling throughout the world, and snag as many of them as you can see. While they may not be the easiest to find, keep your eyes peeled for a sparkle of Gold on any trees that you pass, and you may be lucky enough to find these rather large beetles just hanging around. Snag it up with the Grab command (B on Xbox, O on PlayStation) and select Use on them in your Inventory.
These are worth going off the beaten path for since weight accumulates quickly in Dragon’s Dogma 2. There are so many items you’ll find while exploring that you can quickly move up the scale of weight that you can carry, and while these bugs may not grant a huge amount of additional carrying capacity, everything counts at the end of the day.
