Namco Bandai is continuing its fighting ways later this year with a classic from the previous generation.
The publisher announced that it will release Soul Calibur II HD Online to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the popular fighting game. The digital download will contain the original cast of characters, including such brawlers as Kilik, Ivy and new additions like Talim and Raphael.
As the title implies, the game features touched-up high-definition graphics, as well as the ability to challenge players online through the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network services.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like The Legend of Zelda’s Link or Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, characters featured in the GameCube and Xbox versions respectively, will return. However, Heihachi, the Tekken powerhouse prominently featured in the PlayStation 2 version of the game, will make the cut.
Soul Calibur II HD Online will release late 2013 for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. You can watch the trailer below.
