Sony Offers Metal Slug XX, Huge Discounts in Latest PlayStation Plus Update

Although this week’s PlayStation Plus offering isn’t a big PS3 title, it’s still a game that fans of classic Neo-Geo action will want to take advantage of.

Metal Slug XX, which originally came out for the PlayStation Portable a few years ago, is the latest “free” title being offered in the online digital service.  It’s PS Vita compatible, so you can play it on that system – or the PSP – with no problem.

In addition, the Benjamin’s Flight add-on for the quirky platforming/puzzle game Thomas Was Alone is on sale for $2.50 through next week.

Finally, the first week of the Play promotion is kicking off, with four great games offered at a discount starting today.  You can get Stealth Inc.: A Clone In the Dark for $8 this week, and in the following weeks, you can grab Cloudberry Kingdom (July 30th, $8), Ibb and Obb (August 6th, $8) and DuckTales Remastered (August 13th, $12).  Don’t forget, you can score PlayStation Network credit with each game you buy.  Snag two, receive $3; snag three, get back $6, buy all four and you get $10.
