What is a Power Shot in EA FC 24?

A Power Shot is one of the many specialized types of shooting you can access within the game and was added first in FIFA 23, and since then, EA Sports has introduced it to both console and mobile this year. Among all available options, this shot has the highest amount of force, and it can be a nightmare for many goalkeepers to save.

Not only do these shots have different controls from ordinary kicks, but they also require greater skill and expertise.

How to Hit a Power Shot in EA FC 24

Ordinarily, you shoot in the game by pressing the Circle button (PS)/ B button (Xbox). This is under the assumption that you’re using default controls. If you want to hit a Power Shot, make sure to press the LB + RB along with B (Xbox)/L1 + R1 along with Circle (PS).

  • L1+R1+Circle button (PS4 and PS5)
  • LB+RB+B button (Xbox One, Series XlS)

How to Score Goals with a Power Shot in EA FC 24

There are two major issues with Power Shots – they take longer time to shoot and can be misdirected pretty easily. Here are certain tips and tricks to reduce such issues.

  • Turn off the Zoom in during Power Shot from camera settings. It helped me to focus more on the shot itself.
  • Use players who have Power Shot+ playstyles. They take a lot less time to shoot, reducing the chance of getting tackled by a defender.
  • Just point towards the center of the goal. Most Power Shots have enough power to swerve and beat the goalkeeper. Trying to shoot at an acute corner could easily see your shot flying over the goal.

Like all advanced techniques, Power Shots are all about practice. The more time you play in the matches, you’ll understand when’s the best time to perform them and increase your chances of success.

You can also find more such players with suitable playstyles present across the different national teams in EA FC 24.
