Today, Q Games announced that it will release PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD for the PS Vita sometime this summer.  According to the official PlayStation Blog entry, you’ll be able to play the original game, along with levels from the Encore expansion.  It’ll also include additional towers, enemies and levels from the Deluxe edition released for the PlayStation Portable a couple of years ago.  Double Eleven will handle the game’s development.

“Monsters Ultimate HD has more than 30 hours of gameplay set across story and challenge levels.  All of the graphics have been remastered for the PS Vita’s high-resolution screen, and we added touchscreen input to provide more control of Tikiman,” said Double Eleven COO Mark South.

The game will also come to PC and Mac, to which we say, the more Monsters, the merrier.
