How to Change the Camera Controls in Nightingale

As of writing, you can’t change the camera controls off of the arrow keys. There are no options in the settings window under Keybinds, similar to how you can’t change the Push to Talk key yet. However, unlike the Push to Talk key, the camera keybinds will be remappable in an update later tonight (February 20). After that update releases, the camera controls will be completely rebindable. That way, those of you who want to use the arrow keys to move can.

As for how you’ll be able to change the controls once the issue is fixed, you’ll want to navigate to the Settings menu, go to Keybinds, and scroll down to the camera controls. From there, simply click on the keybind, select which buttons you want for each camera direction instead, and you’re done! From there, you can bind the arrow keys to the different movement controls instead of WASD. You can also do different keys for movement if you’re more used to some other movement style.

What Do the Camera Controls Do?

The camera controls perform a similar function to your mouse, letting you move the camera in any direction you wish. It’s more there for those who can’t use a mouse or simply want to stick to a keyboard instead. Since these will be bindable, they’ll also be usable on other input devices as a way of accessibility for those with disabilities. Alongside some upcoming accessibility features, this should let many more people experience the game.
