This week is huge for Nintendo fans. On Sunday, the long-awaited Animal Crossing: New Leaf will debut on the eShop for $34.99, just in time to put a dent in one’s social life.  This latest chapter of the series will feature all-new activities and characters, along with the charm players expect from previous entries in the series.

On the Wii U, the NES puzzle classic Yoshi will make an appearance June 12 for the budget price of thirty cents, the latest in Nintendo’s Virtual Console promotion.  You can also pick up the challenging platformer Spelunker for $4.99, in case you feel like dying more than a dozen times or so.

In addition, there’s a sale on two Wii U titles this week.  You can pick up the awesome Trine 2: Director’s Cut for $9.99, or Ubisoft’s innovative beat-em-up Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth for $29.99.

Last but definitely not least, classic Wii owners can download yet another Neo-Geo classic with Sengoku 3, which is available on the service for 900 Wii points ($9.00).

Not a bad update leading into next week’s E3 show.
