Persona 3 Reload Ruby Featured

How to Get Ruby in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

We're up all night to farm Tartarus

Ruby is one of the most required materials for crafting some of the best weapons in Persona 3 Reload. This rare stone is not that easy to obtain, though, as it all comes down to pure luck and perseverance when it comes to getting those.

Where to Find Ruby in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

Ruby is a rare drop from Eternal Eagles in the Adamah block in Tartarus. This is the final portion of the tower, only accessible after January during the game’s final days. The Eagles appear as regular random enemies and are weak to Pierce, so bring Ken, Aigis or Yukari to make a quick deal of them. Personas with Pierce skills like Mara are also great for that.

But actually dropping a Ruby or two can take a while. Out of five encounters, I only got Ruby twice, and I felt I was lucky with those drops. Each Eagle drops one Ruby, so it might not be as slow if you keep finding them in pairs.

Jotun of Evil, Fierce Cyclops and Divine Mother can also drop Ruby, but I had better luck finding and dropping them from Eagles specifically. Basically, you just have to keep grinding high floor enemies until you have enough materials.

If you got the Devil Major Arcana card during Shuffle Times, you get two Ruby pieces per enemy instead of one, so don’t avoid other enemies so you can have better chances at finding that specific Arcana during your exploration.

Other Places to Get Ruby in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

Ruby is also found inside treasure chests of all rarities in Tartarus. These are randomized once you step inside the tower for the night and won’t respawn. Random enemies will respawn if you leave the floor and return later, though. Theoretically, you can get all the Rubies you need in one go if you’re patient enough to keep grinding the same floors.

You will need tons of these if you’re looking for all the Ultimate Weapons for your characters, and these are not the only materials you’ll need for them. But considering how these are the best offensive options in the game, they’re more than worth the grind.
