Achievement Hunter: Injustice: Gods Among Us (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)

Can you save the day and unlock all the rewards in this splendid brawler?
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Ever since it released two weeks ago, Injustice: Gods Among Us has created waves in the game community.  Finally a good fighting game featuring DC Comics characters both familiar and obscure battling in well-realized combat using both items in the environment and their own special moves.  You’re also able to knock someone into a completely different area.  We’d expect no less from the team that did so well with Mortal Kombat two years ago.

Best of all, Injustice has plenty of Achievements and Trophies to unlock between its S.T.A.R. Labs challenge mode, its main story and its multiplayer.  You’re likely to get a few of these with ease right from the beginning, but it’ll take a great deal of work to unlock them all, especially the big 100-point valued one that’s at the bottom of this page.

This Achievement Hunter guide breaks down everything you can earn in the game, as well as point values and what it takes to earn them.  Granted, there are some minor spoilers here (like in yesterday’s Spoiler Alert), so proceed at your own risk.

Happy Achievement hunting!

In a nutshell, the easiest Achievements you can earn basically come from equipping decorative items to your game whether it’s an icon, background image or character portrait.  Some other ones come easy too, like completing the Tutorial mode (a matter of finishing everything it asks of you) and Wrecking Ball, which comes with knocking an enemy into a new area.  (Just get them close to a wall, then hit the away and either A or X button, depending what version you’re playing.)

As for the tougher ones, obviously doing maximum damage in all Arenas will take some time, but power hits are definitely your ally when it comes to making walls and ceilings crumble.  The S.T.A.R. Labs missions will take some time as well, along with finishing Battle Mode.

By contrast, the game’s quality Story Mode will earn you a pair of easy Achievements, with the 50 percent and 100 percent completion regards totaling 100 points or two Trophies, again depending on your version.

Regardless of what you play, Injustice: Gods Among Us really has something to offer for everyone.  With incoming DLC, it will expand even further.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
