Original Katamari Damacy Rolling Onto PlayStation 3 Next Week As a Digital Release

Don't mind us, we're just rolling up stars to create the universe with cows.

When it comes to putting together a list of quintessential yet quirky PlayStation 2 games, we have to make sure that Katamari Damacy is somewhere in the top 5.  This hilariously fun and offbeat game has you portraying the Prince of All Cosmos as he attempts to do his father’s bidding by rolling up people, structures and other objects into balls, which then launch into space and become stars so that the King can fill up the universe.

The game is still fun to this day, though you’ll need a PS2 and a copy of the game.  However, Namco Bandai is changing that next week as the company will be bringing it to the PlayStation Network as a digital download.  The game will arrive on the service on April 30th for the price of $9.99.

We’d buy this game just for the soundtrack alone.  It’s just so catchy…
