Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb announced today that the CW app has gone live on the Xbox Live Marketplace, which will allow you to watch a number of the network’s hit shows at your convenience without the need of a cable subscription (though you’ll still need Xbox Live Gold).

These shows include such fan favorites as Arrow, Supernatural and Nikita, and also interacts with Xbox SmartGlass to create secondary experiences.  The show The Vampire Diaries will allow you to open up a map that follows characters through town while also learning more about them.

To help commemorate the app’s launch, CW and Microsoft have teamed up for a Facebook giveaway where you could win a Supernatural or Vampire Diaries customized console.  Head over to the official page to sign up.

Now then…do we watch Arrow first or Nikita?
