Total War: Arena Coming From The Creative Assembly

The U.K. developer is working on Total War: Arena, which will be the developers first free-to-play title.  This new game will be a spin off of their popular Total War strategy series.

Total War: Arena will let players pit history’s greatest commanders and their armies against each other in massive team-based battles.  The game will focus entirely on online multiplayer, with a mix of RTS and MOBA gameplay elements.

The potential for this sounds exciting, given The Creative Assembly’s track record with the Total War series set in multiple time periods.  Right now, the team wants help from gamers to craft this multiplayer experience; you can get more details on forthcoming Closed Beta Tests at TotalWar.com/Arena.
