Is the Enforcer AR Good in Fortnite Chapter 5? – Answered

Some Striker competition

Only two assault rifles have been available in the loot pool for the start of Fortnite Chapter 5, but that changed with the addition of the Enforcer AR. Before you start picking this weapon up on a hot drop, I’ll cover whether it’s good and how it should be used.

How Good is the Enforcer AR in Fortnite?

The Enforcer is a good choice for an assault rifle if you want to use a ranged weapon with low recoil. In most cases, I would still rather use the Striker due to how versatile the weapon is and how fast it can dish out damage. However, the Striker struggles at range and the Nemesis falls flat in almost every metric. It’s the Enforcer AR that finally brings another option to players who want to keep their distance without a sniper.

Like the Nemesis, this assault rifle seems to have a slower bullet velocity than the Striker, so you will need to lead your shots more carefully. Each shot feels a bit faster than the Nemesis though, and it’s the shooting pattern that makes the Enforcer a fantastic choice at longer ranges. Each bullet deals more damage than the other two Chapter 5 assault rifles and the rate of fire is slower.

Despite the initial kick of each shot, the low fire rate allows you to hold the trigger with no issues. Once you learn how far you need to lead your shots, the Enforcer can melt the enemy shields beyond medium range without breaking a sweat. That doesn’t mean there are no additional downsides.

At close range, the Striker is still the best assault rifle option. The Enforcer feels the clunkiest of all three options at close range and it simply won’t dish out damage nearly as fast. So if you decide to use this in Fortnite, be careful about how you pick your fights.

If you decide to pick up the latest AR, make sure you know how to prepare for those pesky yellow circles in Fortnite.
