Epic Games has posted an announcement on the official Gears of War Facebook page indicating that People Can Fly’s Gears of War: Judgment, the prequel that follows the misadventures of Baird and “Cole Train” in an all new story, has gone gold.  Above is a picture of the staff in celebration over the pending game, ready to get online and frag a few hundred people.

This means that the game will meet its March 19th release date without any delays, and that all the multiplayer modes – including the new Overrun – will be ready for players to challenge.  You can read more about multiplayer through our impressions here.

A demo will be released the day the game comes out on Xbox Live Marketplace, giving you a taste of the kind of action that awaits you.  If you pre-order the game, you’ll gain access to it four days early.  Who wouldn’t want that?!

Gears of War: Judgment will be released exclusively for Xbox 360.
