How to Get an Elder Sigil in MW3 Zombies

Take on the toughest Rift

Entering the Aether Rift in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is already a task that demands some extra effort, but an Elder Sigil makes the Dark Aether even tougher to conquer. This guide will cover how you can get one of the Sigils from the latest update.

MW3 Zombies: How to Get an Elder Sigil

To get an Elder Sigil, you need to complete Contracts within the Dark Aether for a chance at earning one in the Reward Rift. Like so many other items in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, there is no guarantee that a Sigil of any kind will drop as a reward at the end of a Contract. And to make matters worse, there are only a few Contracts in each Dark Aether run.

The bright side is that rare drops like the Elder Sigil seem to have a higher drop rate from Dark Aether Contracts. Due to the process involved in reaching the new area, there needs to be more incentive to prepare outside of more challenges. Legendary Schematics like the Aether Blade and higher-level Sigils are the answer.

Of course, you still need to get normal Sigils before you can attempt to grind for Elder versions. Standard versions are earned in a similar way, only you need to complete Contracts in the High-Threat Level Zones. These will have a lower chance of dropping when compared to the Elder variants but accessing them is far easier in general.

Once you get your hands on an Elder Sigil in MW3 Zombies, simply bring it back to the Dark Aether entrance to the south of the High-Threat Zone. You can offer up your upgraded Sigil for one trip into the toughest area within the current version of the game. Make sure you get the most out of it.

If you haven’t spent any time in Act 4 just yet, make sure you know how to enter the Dark Aether within Urzikstan.
