Though EA is a little down in the dumps at the moment over the lackluster sales of Medal of Honor: Warfighter (a series they have since taken “out of rotation”), they’re remaining hopeful on the Battlefield franchise, and are ready to talk about the latest in the series very soon.
Frank Gibeau, president of EA labels, stated that though the company isn’t quite ready to go into specifics on the long-awaited Battlefield 4, it will see release sometime over the next year, and the first official reveal of DICE’s sequel isn’t too far off, coming in the next 90 days or so. That means a first look at March’s Game Developers Conference – or maybe even the PAX East event in Boston – could be considered as places to check it out first.
Meanwhile, if you need a fresh Battlefield fix, EA and DICE are about to release the final downloadable content pack for Battlefield 3, End Game, this March for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. So you’ll at least have that to fill the time…
