Warframe: How to Get the Mandonel Archgun

If the Mandonel is so cool, where's the Womandonel?

While Warframe’s new Whispers in the Walls update didn’t introduce a ton of new weapons, it did bring forth a select few that could be worth your time. Here’s how to get the Mandonel Archgun in Warframe.

How to Get the Mandonel Parts in Warframe

Getting the Mandonel is surprisingly complex, given that it’s just one gun. First things first, you’ll want to get its blueprint from completing Cavia bounties from the Sanctum Anatomica. These can be started when speaking with Fibonacci and selecting the Bounties option. Since you can get the Mandonel blueprint from any tier, I suggest farming the 55-60 level bounty to speed things up considerably.

As for the components, those can be earned through the various new nodes across Deimos. Namely, you’ll want to run the Mirror Defense (Munio), Survival (Persto), and Alchemy (Cambire) missions until you reach the Rotation B and C rewards. Rotation B on each mission has a chance to drop the Stock, while Rotation C can drop either the Mandonel Barrel or Receiver.

The last thing you’ll need to get is two Echo Voca. These can be gotten by completing the highest tier Cavia bounty on Deimos, setting enemies to level 115-120. You’ll need a lot more than two if you want other rewards from this update, so be ready to farm these high-level bounties a lot.

Once you’ve acquired all the necessary parts, simply head to the foundry and begin building. 24 hours later, you’ll have yourself the Mandonel.

Is the Mandonel Worth Using in Warframe?

The Mandonel is an Archgun, meaning that it can only be used in Archwing missions, open-world sections, and specific mission types such as Railjack missions. The Mandonel itself fires Radiation Damage projectiles on its own. Its charged shots, on the other hand, can release a beam that creates a radiation field. Shots through it are empowered.

As for if you should use the Mandonel, it isn’t something you should be gunning for. It’s not that it’s bad per se, but with the Mausolon earned the minute you get yourself a Necramech, you likely already have a better option in play. I use the Mausolon myself, and it makes short work of most things I throw at it. Still, if you want that mastery, then maybe grinding for the Mandonel is worthwhile to you.
