Starting your own LEGO Fortnite server could have been a nightmare (think Minecraft circa 2011). Luckily for us, Epic Games has provided a seemingly endless supply of dedicated servers for you and your friends to enjoy.
Creating a Server in LEGO Fortnite
Making a server is as simple as navigating to the LEGO Fortnite page in the Discover Menu of Fortnite, then choosing “Select World.”
Next, you’ll see a list of your current worlds. Just choose an empty slot and select “Create.”
Once your world is created, just follow the prompts and select the settings you’d like to use, such as if you want enemies to appear or not. You can tweak all sorts of mechanics, so take a look and craft a server that’s right for you!
Now, even if you log off, your world will remain intact. With the advent of dedicated servers, gone are the days of fumbling about with port forwarding and throwing your IP around willy-nilly.
You can have up to eight worlds at one time, which is an impressive number of dedicated servers per player, especially considering there are millions of concurrent players each day.
How to Share Worlds With Other Players in LEGO Fortnite
Now, you might be wondering, “If my world stays when I log off, can my friends hop in and mess around without me around?” The answer is: yes! If you want to share your world with your friends, it’s as simple as granting them World Keys. You can hand out a maximum of seven World Keys per world.
All you’ll need to do is navigate to the “Players” tab of your menu, and grant them one of your keys using the button prompt:
Now that you have your new World and some friends to enjoy it with (or not, who am I to judge?), why not hop over to our LEGO Fortnite Village upgrade guide to get things started?
