Remember “Operation Rainfall”, the program that launched a few years ago with folks insisting that three popular Japanese role-playing games get released for the U.S.? Well, it turns out it was rather successful, with Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story making their way stateside last year. But what of Pandora’s Tower, the third and final requested game? Fear not, because XSEED is answering the call.
The publisher has announced that, in its partnership with Nintendo, it’s finally bringing the dark JRPG to the Wii system – and the Wii U, since it’s backwards compatible – this spring. The game will feature a vast storyline to follow, along with startling characters and plenty of epic battles that will keep you on your toes.
Though a release date hasn’t been given, XSEED is aiming to release the game this spring. No word yet if they’ll be doing what they did with The Last Story, releasing both a regular and special edition of the game. I definitely know a few people who would go for the collector’s package, though.
Look for a gameplay preview soon!
