How to Get Heavy Wool in LEGO Fortnite

It's always sweater weather here.

Heavy Wool is a very important item to have in LEGO Fortnite, especially if you’re hoping to craft some higher-end items. Where can you locate this crafting material, and what should you prepare before embarking on your journey?

Where To Find Heavy Wool in LEGO Fortnite?

To start your journey for Heavy Wool, you’re going to need to venture toward the Snow Biomes. Heavy Wool can only be found in this freezing-cold biome, so make sure you know how to keep yourself warm before venturing off into this new location. The cold hits quickly, and can sap your health quickly if you’re not keeping as warm as possible.

Once you arrive, there are a few different ways to start claiming Heavy Wool.

Find And Explore Caves in the Snow Biome

Once you have entered the Snow Biomes, start searching out and exploring Caves. Tucked inside these caves will be different chests, which are likely to contain Heavy Wool. Since this is a rare item to find, don’t be disheartened if your first few chests don’t have any inside, just keep pressing forward on the search for this exotic material. Once you have found some, either continue exploring to get even more Heavy Wool, or head back to your Village to start utilizing it in different crafting recipes.

Become Friends With The Rams

Located exclusively within the Snow Biomes, the Ram has a chance to drop Heavy Wool when pet. You can tell the Ram apart from the standard Sheep by their horns and their Gray coats, so if you see one, try to pet it as soon as possible. There is a chance that you will only receive standard Wool from petting them, so get ready to go on a while Ram chase when trying to obtain as much of this material as possible. Unfortunately, if you eliminate the Ram, you’ll only receive meat, so you won’t need to worry about using a weapon on these creatures.

Use Your Village To Your Advantage

As you start getting more Villagers in your Village, you can assign them jobs. While you may not get to pick exactly what they produce, you can at least point them in the right direction. In the photo above, I assigned Sprocket to work on Textiles, which require either a Loom or a Spinning Wheel to create. After they have finished their job, you can reap the rewards and claim some extra goodies, with Heavy Wool Thread being one of the options you may receive.

Create Heavy Wool Thread Yourself

Since Heavy Wool Thread is the end goal here, you can always start making your own instead of assigning a Villager to take care of it. Since the majority of the better items need Heavy Wool Thread, you can just take care of this yourself. You’ll receive one Thread in exchange for one Heavy Wool, so get ready to explore and claim as much as possible.

There are many reasons that you could want Heavy Wool, including the rare version of the Cool-Headed Charm.
