How to Start a Farm and Befriend Animals in LEGO Fortnite

How to Start a Farm in LEGO Fortnite

Note that, at least for now, you can’t build an actual farm in LEGO Fortnite. What you can do is gather some animals and keep them in an enclosed space so you can interact with them more comfortably. If you wander too far away from your “farm,” the animals will disappear, and they will respawn at their original location.

This doesn’t take away the fun of the process and the convenience of having access to resources like milk and wool whenever you need it. So, the first thing you need to do is to gather enough materials to build a fence. Gathering Wood to make some Rustic Railing is a safe bet, but there are other options.

With these materials, you can start placing some walls to set the perimeter of your farm. Don’t close it, though, because you will need an opening to take in the animals you befriend.

How to Befriend Animals in LEGO Fortnite

Once you’ve done that, the next step is to lure some animals. You will need food for this. A great option is Pumpkins, which seem to be loved by most animals. You have to approach slowly, and it’s also a good idea to unequip your weapon; some animals might be frightened by it and run away. Once you’re close enough, you can drop the Pumpkin or whatever crop you have, and the animal will eat it.

If you’re lucky, some animals will follow you after this. If not, just keep luring them inside the fence you’ve built. When you are happy with the amount of animals you’ve gathered, close the fence, and they will stay inside.

Try petting your animals several times to make them happy, and they will give you more product. Remember that cows give milk, chickens give eggs, sheep give wool, and so on. Each animal also has a special food that they prefer, so try giving them different crops, too.

You can also get Fertilizer from animals, which helps you grow food. It’s a very sustainable cycle to keep both a vegetable garden and an animal farm together.

How to Take Care of Animals in LEGO Fortnite

Taking care of your animals in Lego Fortnite is key for a productive farm. Here are some tips for effective caregiving.

  • Don’t carry any weapons close to your animals.
  • Keep a close eye on resources dropped by your animals (fertilizer, eggs, wool, etc.).
  • You can try giving your animals a diverse amount of food items. Some animals like certain foods more than others.
  • Use pens to protect your animals and organize them properly.
  • Make sure you pet your animals as often as you can for more resources.
