En Masse has announced that they will be switching over Tera to a free-to-play system. This free-to-play version of the game is being titled Tera: Rising.
Free players will be able to access two free characters per server, which are not subject to level caps and will not have any restrictions to content, time, or level. Those that purchased Tera will receive founder benefits in the form of eight character slots, four bank tabs, a “Founder” title, the exclusive Terminus mount.
There will also be elite status for those that pay $14.99 for 30-day increments, granting extra dungeon rewards, 10 bonus quests per day, a daily delivery of items and boosts, an elite mount, in-game store discounts, waived brokerage registration taxes, and more. Essentially, elite players have the same content buy they just have more perks.
No exact date has been given for the changeover, but expect that to happen soon. Find out more about the switchover at Tera.EnMasse.com/free.
