Death Must Die Reveals Roadmap with New Characters, Maps and More

One step closer to reap the reaper

After a warm Early Access release with Mostly Positive reviews on Steam, Realm Archive has revealed the first roadmap for Death Must Die, revealing some of the upcoming content the game will be receiving in a few months. And, of course, this includes many exciting features such as new characters, gods, maps, and much more.

The full roadmap can be viewed here, and it kicks off by announcing a special holiday update rolling out on December 20 that sets up the Christmas mood for the undead. More info on that should be revealed later, but we know that’s something coming for the season.

As for the actual new content, the Act II Update was unveiled by revealing a new area, The Endless Desert. It should be accessible after clearing all enemies in our current Act I graveyard zone, including Dracula.

Act II will also include a new Ranger character (as requested by the community), more equipment, unique items, shrines around the map, and a new unnamed God. And don’t worry; there will be plenty of new enemies in the desert eager to be on the receiving end for your new little toys. Act II will be released sometime around Q1 2024.

More future updates were also included in the roadmap, such as more characters, new gods, duo god blessings, item loadouts, localizations, and, of course, Act III. These currently have no set release date but could be rolled out sometime during Act II if we get lucky.

For a very recent game barely out as Early Acces, I’d say that Death Must Die has a promising future in its hands, and I can’t help but be excited for the subsequent updates the game will receive in the following months. It’ll probably still take a while until the game’s complete, and we finally get to see (and maybe kill) Death, but I’m willing to wait as much as needed.
