If you’re ready to explore Pandora as a free Na’vi for the first time in your life in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the first step will be getting the game. But your old friend Xbox Game Pass always has your back for that, won’t they?
Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Available on Xbox Game Pass?
Unfortunately, Frontiers of Pandora isn’t available on the Game Pass. While the Xbox services got us covered for many of the last few years’ releases, this wasn’t the case with the new James Cameron’s Avatar game. It’s still available for the Xbox Series X|S, but you’ll have to buy a full copy if you want to play it on those devices.
This also implies that the game will definitely be a Ubisoft store exclusive for PC. Since the game isn’t available on Steam either, you can only play it through the publisher’s official launcher if you don’t own any of the current-gen consoles. Quite a bummer for Steam lovers, but there’s not much we can’t do against publishing contracts.
Nothing stops Xbox from including the game in its Game Pass catalog later in the future, but if that actually happens someday, it’ll probably be a year from now or even later. If you can’t wait that long to give a try to the Na’vi life, Ubisoft is your way to go. Don’t worry, the launcher is not as bad as most people make it to be, but it’s definitely not the best gaming experience you’ll have, either.
The game is set to be released on December 7th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with no scheduled releases for the previous generation. This new survival adventure will be the second game entry for the franchise, and it’s ready to push devices to their maximum judging by its sheer system requirements.
