Rejoice! Madcap Japanese cartoon beat ‘em up Anarchy Reigns is coming to the West in January, with a release date for the eighth in North America revealed today by developer Platinum Games
Previously only available in Japan (since July this year and localized in English) the game has been on the wishlists of many a Western gamer. We’re sure you’ll be happy to know it’ll set you back just $29.99 in the US and will be released physically. It’ll be out in Europe on the 11th priced £19.99/€29.99/.
Producer Atsushi Inaba had a few words to say on the game if you’re unsure as to what it’s all about:
“Hey guys. It’s Inaba, producer for Anarchy Reigns. Let me throw some words at you to explain this game:
Multiplayer.
Free-for-all.
Melee action.
A knock-down, drag-out brawl.
All sound like they add up to a little bit of a barbaric mix.
All right, let’s put something a little hi-tech in there:
Online.
We could probably go on finding words to describe Anarchy Reigns all day. But to put it short, the objective of this game is to link up with players from across the globe and beat the living daylights out of them.”
If that’s not enough to convince you then why not have a look at our preview?
