Has Halo 4 Leaked Early Onto the Internet?

Several users report they already have their hands on copies.

Halo 4 is less than a month away from release, yet we’ve been seeing reports on people who have it already.  Yes, this early.  We don’t know whether to be jealous or enraged.

These reports, which have been popping up between tweeted photos and YouTube videos (some of which have been removed due to copyright infringement, per Microsoft’s new video footage standards), indicate that the game might’ve been leaked onto the Internet through pirating.  When asked if the full game was leaked, or if gamers got an early version, Microsoft didn’t have much to say.

“We have seen the reports of Halo 4 content being propped on the Web and are working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation,” said a Microsoft spokesperson.

This isn’t the first time that a major game release has been leaked through illegal means, and we doubt it’ll be the last.  But still, some of these guys are spoiling it for the rest of us.  Jerks.

Look for Halo 4 on Xbox 360 starting November 6th.
