Ever since it was initially announced back in June, the thought of a high-definition version of Capcom’s classic Okami has intrigued us. And then we played it in July at the Comic-Con Expo and loved it even more, seeing what kind of work the company was putting into the graphics. And soon enough, we’ll be able to finally get our hands on the final version.
Capcom has announced an official release date for Okami HD on the PlayStation Network, as part of their showcase at the Tokyo Game Show this week. The game will officially drop on October 30th, for a suggested price of $19.99. A little steep, sure, but you get your money’s worth, whether you’re using the regular PS3 DualShock 3 controller or the PlayStation Move set-up.
We previewed Okami HD a while back, and, honestly, it’s never looked better. For that matter, the PlayStation Move integration isn’t half bad either, especially when you’re using the celestial brush to interact with environments.
Read our preview while you wait for the game’s release next month, and count the days. Not long now…
