We’ve been wondering what Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune has been up to since he departed Capcom a couple years back. He’s been working closely with Comcept on a couple of things, including the upcoming PS Vita adventure Soul Sacrifice. But today, Inafune revealed a bit more about his latest project called YAIBA. It may sound like a puzzle game, but it is actually a game where you kill zombies. Oh yeah!
“Everywhere I go, people ask me, ‘When is it coming?’” Inafune said in a statement. “There are so many zombie games out there, yet people ask me for a new Inafune zombie game. I am grateful for people’s respect for me as the ‘zombie game creator’ and to fulfill that I must answer their expectations with YAIBA.
“I am not at freedom to disclose the details just yet,” Inafune added. “But I am confident you will enjoy this new concept consisting of zombies with action, ninjas and mechs.”
Though gameplay details weren’t discussed, a teaser trailer for the project was unveiled and you can check it out below.
Look for YAIBA sometime in 2013!
