How to Find Jangmo-o in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

I love my cranky dinosaur

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC, The Teal Mask, immediately swept trainers off their feet by giving Applin a brand-new caramelized form. But that’s not the only dragon you can catch while hunting down masks. I’m talking, of course, about Jangmo-o! Here’s how to find Jangmo-o in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Find Jangmo-o in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask

Who doesn’t love a Dragon Pokemon? Especially a rare Dragon Pokemon? Jangmo-o is easily one of the toughest natural spawns in the game, but it has a specific region it loves to loiter in.

To find Jangmo-o in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, start your hunt in the Paradise Barrens, in the Northwest part of Kitakami.

You’ll recognize Paradise Barrens as the location where you found the last sign during the orienteering tutorial. It was at this sign that you unveiled the last part of the story, at least as the villagers told it. And the very first Jangmo-o I found was right beside this sign.

But note that Jangmo-o is a rare spawn. You’ll likely see a dozen Nosepass, Orthworms, and Timburr before you stumble across Janmgo-o. But don’t give up!

Once you catch Jangmo-o, you can expect it to evolve into Hakamo-o at level 35 and Kommo-o at level 45. But because you’ll likely encounter it at level 60 and above, you’ll likely have a Kommo-o on your hands before you know it. And this tanky, late-game sweeper is an excellent addition to any new DLC team.

But if you’d prefer to catch a Pokemon that’s a little more unique to The Teal Mask, there’s always Dipplin. This caramelized dragon has taken the festival spirit to a whole new extreme.
