Remnant 2 has (mostly) exceeded both 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes and its 2020 prequel Chronos: Before the Ashes to become the highest-rated game in the series. Chronos achieved critic ratings of 67 (PC), 68 (PS4), 67 (Nintendo Switch), and 71 (Xbox One), while From the Ashes achieved Metascores of 78 (PC), 77 (PS4). However, the Xbox One version of the first game in the Remnant series still holds the record for the highest rating of the franchise with an impressive 81.
