Is This a Hint At the New Kinect Sensor?

We’ve seen bits and pieces of news surrounding the new Xbox system, as well as the integrated Kinect technology that would go along with it. Today a new piece of data emerged from a most unlikely place – Twitter – that could indicate that Microsoft has some new tech that could make it easier than ever to use your body for motion gaming.

A Durango devkit owner named DaE has posted the above image from Twitter, showcasing how the new Kinect sensor can track body movements better. What’s more, it can actually track individual finger movement, something the original Kinect isn’t so hot at.

 

Though Microsoft wouldn’t confirm any details behind the sensor, it was confirmed through other sources that DaE does have a development kit for the next generation Xbox console, even if it’s without official details. So…could this be the future of motion gaming? We’ll certainly keep you informed…
