Pretty soon, you’ll be able to rock out with your controller out, as Harmonix has FINALLY revealed the release date for its upcoming music/rhythm action opus Rock Band Blitz.
The game, which definitely borrows some elements from past releases like Amplitude and Frequency, will hit the PlayStation Network on August 28th, and a day later, August 29th, on Xbox Live. The game will sell for $14.99, or 1200 Microsoft points.
The game allows you to use songs from your Rock Band library for play (downloadable and otherwise), and in return, lets you play 25 new tracks either in Blitz or your traditional Rock Band set-up. Four new songs were revealed for the game, including…
-
Avenged Sevenfold- “So Far Away”
-
Fun ft. Janelle Monae- “We Are Young”
-
Kool & the Gang- “Jungle Boogie”
-
My Chemical Romance- “Sing”
Honestly, if those songs don’t say party, we’re not sure what really does. We’ve played Blitz over the course of a few events now, and it keeps looking better each time we see it. If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll definitely want to check this out.
