Stunfisk is one of those Pokemon that’s frequently overlooked. After all, it’s a fish, and it looks like a muddy footprint. But it deserves love just like any other Pokemon. Especially if it happens to be Shiny. So, can Stunfisk be Shiny in Pokemon GO? Here’s your question answered.
Can Stunfisk be Shiny in Pokemon GO – Answered
Stunfisk is one of dozens of fishlike Pokemon and, yeah, it’s easy to forget. Which makes its appearance on April 23 as the spotlight Pokemon for a Limited Research Day all the better. But before you dive headfirst into those limited field research tasks, you’ll want to know if Stunfisk can be Shiny.
The answer is yes! Both Stunfisk and Galarian Stunfisk can be found in their Shiny forms, starting on April 23. And on April 23, these Ground Pokemon will receive a Shiny boost!
This is exceptionally helpful, as Stunfisk is a rare spawn, appearing primarily in Swamps biomes. Galarian Stunfisk, which is a Ground- and Steel-Type Pokemon, is even harder to find, appearing most frequently from 7 km eggs.

Because of this, it’s a great idea to take advantage of their Limited Research Event, which will guarantee Stunfisk encounters. Otherwise, good luck hunting these Trap Pokemon down and contending with the 1 in 500 Shiny rates.
If you are hunting Stunfisk and Galarian Stunfisk naturally, it’s a good idea to put a lure on a Pokestop (or two or three that happen to be near each other), and use up your Daily Incense. But only if you feel that Stunfisk is nearby.
