A new trailer has been announced for the browser based free-to-play MMORPG, set to air at the San Diego Comic-Con later in the month. The title is being developed by Bigpoint, the outfit behind Battlestar Galactica Online and Drakensang Online.

The game was inspired by the massive HBO TV series (rather than the George R.R. Martin novels as such). As you probably might’ve guessed, it’s set within the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and allows players to relive “epic moments” from the show.

GAME OF THRONES SPOILERS BELOW

Seven Kingdoms is set just after the deaths of King Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark. The Starks have declared war on the South and Baratheon’s two brothers are making claims to the throne. Through the game you’ll make alliances using political systems, PvP and siege combat

The game is being made by both Bigpoint and Norwegian outfit Artplant, which had also contributed to work on Battlestar Galactica. The game uses the increasingly popular Unity engine. A beta is coming.
