British actress Camilla Luddington has been revealed as the person responsible for both voice acting and motion capture work for Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider origin tale.
Luddington starred in the TV Series Californication with David Duchovny and will be seen on screens in forthcoming episodes of True Blood. She also played Kate Middleton in straight-to-TV film William & Kate.
This is the first time an actress has provided both motion and voice work for Lara Croft, something we seem to be seeing much more frequently.
The upcoming Tomb Raider title is billed as a gritty reboot, an origin story at the start of its own canon but not a prequel to any existing game. There’s an extensive Q&A on the game over at the Eidos message board collected from a multitude of different sources.
