Wipeout HD and Fury Content Coming To Wipeout 2048 Today
Free updates to the PlayStation Network title will allow for cross-platform play between PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Can’t get enough Wipeout? Honestly, who can? Sony’s futuristic racing series remains one of the most addictive ones on the market right now, and the company just provided us an all-new reason to hop behind the wheel.
Sony has announced today that content from its hit PSN game Wipeout HD (as well as its spin-off Wipeout HD Fury) will be available as downloadable content for Wipeout 2048 on the PlayStation Vita, and that content will be available today on the PlayStation Network, when the store updates.
With this content, players will be able to interact with Wipeout HD players through the crossplay feature, and they’ll also be able to download the maps free of charge if the content was already purchased previously for HD. These include 12 additional tracks, along with a dozen new ships to cruise around the track with. The Fury pack also brings 12 more packs, along with 24 additional ships.
If you didn’t buy them yet, don’t fret, they’re available for a pretty good price. You can get the packs individually for $7.99, or buy them in one shot for $12.99. Not a bad price when it comes to racing in the future…
