How to Get the CQBR Assault Rifle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Pesetas won't help you here.

Most of the weapons in the Resident Evil 4 Remake can be unlocked by purchasing them with the Pesetas you’ve saved up in your chapters. There are a select few though, that can only be unlocked by finding them in the world itself, and that includes the CQBR Assault Rifle.

This weapon is a fantastic addition to your collection for Leon for plenty of reasons, with the full-auto fire being at the top of the list. Luckily, finding the assault rifle in Resident Evil 4 Remake is fairly easy if you know where to look. Our guide will cover the location and the stats you can expect.

Resident Evil 4 Remake – Where to Find the CQBR Assault Rifle

When you’re searching for any of the weapons in the Castle or the Village, you’ll need to stop at very specific locations. For the CQBR, you’ll need to pay extra attention to Chapter 10. An easy way to track your progress to the assault rifle is through the characters. Immediately after playing as Leon again, following the chapter with Ashley, you can start looking for the AR.

Head back towards the library where Ashley initially found the castle keys. To get to that location again, you’ll need to reach the second floor of the library and pay attention to the walls. On this floor, there will be another Cubic Device puzzle asking to be solved. The Cubic Device Key in the throne room is needed to start the puzzle that gives you access to the CQBR Assault Rifle.

Once you’ve oriented the key in the right position for the lock box, the rifle is yours and Leon has a shiny new toy. By default, the weapon has full-auto fire, 20 ammo capacity, two scaled damage, and 0.85 reload speed. Plenty of Pesetas can be spent to increase the power and the base stats of the CQBR in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
