Just because Naughty Dog is working on The Last of Us, doesn’t mean you’ve seen the last of Uncharted.

While E3 2012 saw Sony focusing on Naughty Dog’s new title, The Last of Us, Uncharted fans don’t need to worry about the franchise’s future. Sony vice president of product development Scott Rohde told Joystiq that Uncharted is still very important to the company.

“This show is about Naughty Dog and The Last of Us. So we’re not talking about Uncharted for the future. It’s a Sony IP, but it’s just not something we’re talking about. Of course it’s one of our pillar franchises. It’d be ridiculous to say that we’re not always thinking about [Uncharted], but we’re just not talking about it right now,” Rohde said to Joystiq.

The last Uncharted title was Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PlayStation Vita, developed by Sony Bend with input from Naughty Dog.
