Two Week Delay for The Secret World

Mysterious, modern, magical MMO The Secret World is to suffer a two week delay, developer Funcom has said.

The game will now be coming out on July 3^rd as opposed to the original June 19^th release date. Funcom has put the delay down to “market reasons”. “The new launch date places The Secret World in a more positive launch window which will benefit the launch of the game,” a spokesman for the Norwegian studio added.

The Early Access period has now moved to June 29^th due to the delay.

Funcom has had a bit of a reshuffle with the next beta weekends too. The third of these, Hell Raised, takes placed between June 15^th and 17^th. This one gives the Illuminati and Dragon players a starter experience and also bundles the Tempar experience. Also included are the Savage Coast area and Hell Raised dungeon.

The fourth beta weekend runs between June 22^nd and 24, this brings player versus player combat to the table.
