How to Fix the Wuthering Waves Launcher Resolution Issue

Make that download button appear!

The launch of Wuthering Waves, one of the biggest action RPGs of the year, is nearly upon us, and there are bound to be a few technical issues. The launcher is very similar to what miHoYo titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail use, and some of the problems are present here as well. If the launcher of Wuthering Waves doesn’t render properly with an incorrect resolution, here is how you can fix that.

Wuthering Waves Launcher Resolution Fix

To fix the Wuthering Waves launcher resolution issue where it appears bugged, you need to override its High DPI scaling behavior and set it to application.

This is how the launcher looks like when it isn’t rendering properly. As you can see, the download button is completely cut off. It’s very common for laptop users with a small screen.

To fix this, follow the steps below.

  • Make sure the launcher isn’t currently running
  • Right-click on the Wuthering Waves shortcut on your desktop and select “Open File Location
  • Here, right-click on the Launcher.exe file, and select Properties
  • Now, in the “Compatability” tab, select “Change high DPI settings
  • Check “Override high DPI scaling behavior” under “High DPI scaling override”, and set it to Application
  • Click OK (both times)

For most users, this should fix the problem, but if it doesn’t, we have another recommendation.

  • Right-click on your desktop and select Display Settings
  • Under Scale and layout, make sure both dropdown options are set to the “Recommended” value

This will certainly fix the problem, and the launcher should display properly with the download button at the bottom right.

With only moments away from launch, we hope that the technical side of things is in better shape than Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. In the meantime, make sure you choose the right server before you start your journey in Solaris-3.
