In an effort to make its soccer simulator even more elite, EA Sports announced that it reached licensing agreements with 19 soccer clubs in Brazil, adding to the already deep roster for the upcoming FIFA 14.
Licensing for Brazilian team leagues works differently than the English Premier League, according to EA, as you have to negotiate through a team-by-team basis. However, it looks like the process was successful.
Such teams include Internacional, Nautico and Ponte Preta, who were featured in FIFA 13 under the fictional names I. Porto Alegre, N. Recife and P. Campinas. However, certain Serie B teams were left out, including Palmeiras – at least for the time being. EA Sports could sign more soccer squads in the weeks ahead.
FIFA 14 will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 September 24th, and later this year for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
