With a name like Terror Inflictor, one would expect this to be the most powerful weapon in the entire galaxy. To be fair, it is quite strong. To get your hands on Terror Inflictor, expect to rely on RNG. It’s only sold via the Starborn Merchant, which is a completely random encounter that only occurs after starting New Game Plus in Starfield.

Once she does spawn and hail your ship, usually immediately upon jumping into a new system, she’ll allow you to purchase anything from her wares. So long as, however, you can afford the high cost of such weaponry.

For instance, Terror Inflictor costs over 50,000 credits!

While the Va’ruun Starshard that Terror Inflictor is based upon is already an exquisite particle beam weapon in Starfield, this one is better. The unique variant comes pre-equipped with multiple high-power mods, plus it deals severe energy damage on top of its physical damage output. It’s the best of both worlds!

  • Weapon Type: Particle Beam Pistol
  • Damage Type: Physical/Energy
  • Damage: Phys – 12; Energy – 65
  • Ammunition Type: Light Particle Fuse
  • Magazine Size: 12
  • Fire Rate: 34
  • Range: 36
  • Accuracy: 71.7%
  • Mass: 2.80
  • Value: 50095
  • Mod Slot 1: Long Barrel
  • Mod Slot 2: Reflex Sight
  • Mod Slot 3: Overclocked
  • Mod Slot 4: Burst Fire
  • Rare Effect: Demoralizing – Provides a small chance to demoralize its target.
  • Item ID: 0022A90C

While Demoralizing is probably one of the weakest effects for a unique weapon to roll, it’s overlooked by the energy damage output of Terror Inflictor. That and it’s high accuracy make this a small arms package worth spending the credits on if you want a powerful secondary weapon for close-range encounters!
