Preparing for the Fight

Unlike most bosses in Warframe, the Razorback will take more than just the game’s strongest weapons to take it down. In fact, your basic weapons aren’t even going to be able to hurt the Razorback. Instead, you’ll need to employ strategy and make use of the game’s hacking system in order to take down this special enemy.

Before you can do that, though, you’re going to have to make yourself several Razorback Ciphers, which can be done by completing the Razorback Cipher Blueprint that the Lotus sends you in an Inbox message when the special event goes live. Building this Cipher will not only give you access to the mission node in the Director, but it will also give you access to the main boss room, which will take up one of your Razorback Ciphers, so make sure you have some extras in your inventory so that you can complete this event multiple times and increase your chances at earning the loot within.

Now that you know how to prepare for the fight with the Razorback, let’s dive into the battle itself.

How to Defeat the Razorback

The Razorback is not an overly difficult enemy altogether, at least not once you take away the fights main gimmick—the fact that it can’t be damaged. This doesn’t mean the fight is going to be overly easy, though, as you will have a ton of additional mobs around you to worry about. Along with the usual Sniper Crewmen and Crewmen, you’ll also have several Bursa, which are the only thing that can hurt the Razorback.

If you’ve fought the Jackal, which is the very first Corpus boss that players take on, then you’ll find yourself right at home in the arena where the Razorback fight takes place. The enemy itself even takes after the Jackal, however it has a lot more firepower to contend with. Your main goal is going to be disabling the Laser Barriers that are keeping the Bursas from falling into the arena. Once this is done—they are on a timer—the Bursas currently in the area will drop into the arena, allowing you to complete the next phase of the battle.

Now you’ll want to focus on damaging the Bursas—but don’t kill them. Once they are damaged enough, you will get the option to Hack them. When this happens, do it, and let your teammates provide covering fire for you. Once the Bursas have been hacked, they’ll begin to fire upon the Razorback, and you’ll need to complete the process over and over again until the Razorback itself goes down.

As we said before, the hardest thing about this fight is managing the adds and not killing the Bursas. Aside from those two things, the hardest thing about this fight is simply staying alive. But, if you can work together as a team, and take your time taking down this enemy, you shouldn’t have too much of a problem defeating it and claiming the loot that it has to offer.

Now that you know how to defeat the Razorback, it’s time to farm the mission for all the items that you need. Want to know what you can get from the rewards? Check out every loot drop available in the Razorback Armada mission to learn more.
